Damascene Book Cellar
From 2018 until its closure in 2022, I worked at Damascene Book Cellar, beginning as a book runner and advancing to store manager in 2021. During my time there, I took on a wide variety of responsibilities, including managing the store's website layout, running our social platforms, and designing our in-store visual merchandising.
Website re-design
During my time there, I used the Bitvise SSH client to access our web servers and give the homepage a more modern, clean look. My main focus was simplifying the layout to make the digital storefront much easier for students to navigate. I also handled any maintenance, quickly updating the page layout whenever new store announcements or campus updates dropped.

I managed their social media presence by creating custom content for both Instagram and Facebook. Using a mix of Adobe Illustrator for original vector assets and Canva for quick layouts, I designed promotional graphics that highlighted store events and book arrivals.
My main goal was keeping our grids visually clean, engaging, and easy to read for the campus community.
